The Race 2022 Expo - Packet Pick Up + Meet & Greet

Impact Event Center

The Race Half Marathon and 5K Packet Pickup

Impact Event Center will serve as the Packet Pickup location for all registered In-Person race participants. (Registered Virtual race participants packets will be mailed.  Your packet will NOT be available for pick up at this event). The Race Packet Pick Up and Expo indoors and outdoors at Impact Event Center. Impact has a large parking lot. Packet Pickup will also feature the The Race Expo. This will include Exhibitors, food, music and live presentations, The Race merchandise store, and much more. All participants must pick up their packet at Impact Event Center during The Race Expo.  Please note there is NO RACE DAY PACKET PICKUP.

 

 

Packet Pickup

Please bring a digital copy of your race confirmation, along with a photo I.D.

For those unable to pick up their packet, a third party may pick up your packet for you. In order to do so, they will need to present a digital copy of your confirmation along with a copy/picture on a phone of a photo I.D.. 

There will be NO Packet Pick-Up on race day!! Please make every effort to obtain your packet during The Race Expo on Friday, October 4th.

 

 

Solutions
 

The Race Retreat

The Race Retreat participants can pick up their TRR packet at The Race Expo on Friday, October 4th. Retreaters will receive a wrist band that must be worn on race day to receive entry into the TRR area. The Race Retreat  will include  a custom tote bag  gift created  by Cam Swank, post race food, drink, & pampering provided by Chef Levy, iwi Fresh, & Monday Night Brewing.

 

Transfers

Transfers must be performed at The Race Expo from 11am-5pm.  Original bib holder will pick up packet and then report to solutions desk to perform the transfer. There is a $10 fee to transfer a race from one participant to another. Registration fees are to be handled between to original bib holder and new bib holder.  Participants are NOT PERMITTED to run under another person's bib.  Please assure to race with integrity and perform the transfer.

 

Category & Information Changes

Updates to your registration (transfers, upgrades, downgrades, shirt size selection, contact information, etc.) can be made at the SOLUTIONS table at The Race Expo from 11-5pm. General registration (if available) will be charged the current registration fee. Upgrades will be charged a flat fee of $70. There are no refunds for downgrades. After Tuesday, October 1st  at 11:59pm transfers and category changes can only be performed at The Race Expo on Friday, October 4th, 11am-5pm.

Deferrals  & Refunds

The Race does not offer deferrals or refunds.

​

Timing 

Timing for The Race Half Marathon and 5K will be done by the runningnerds scores team. A timing strip will be adhered to the back of the race number. DO NOT REMOVE OR BEND!! 

​

Half Marathon participants are required to start The Race in the assigned wave beginning at 7:00am. Wave is indicated in the bottom left corner of your bib (Red, Black, or Green). Half Marathon Participants intending to place in the Overall categories are welcome to start in the first wave (Red).

​

5K participants are required to start in The Race in their appropriate wave beginning at 7:15am. Wave is indicated in the bottom left corner of your bib (5K Wave 1, 2, & 3). 5K participants are not permitted to start in the Half Marathon Red, Black, or Green Wave. Early starts in the 5K will be disqualified from official results.

To ensure the integrity of results, participants are not permitted to race under another persons name. Finishers found to be participating under the incorrect bib will be disqualified and flagged for future participation in The Race. Category changes are available at The Race Expo from 11am-5pm on Friday, October 6th.

If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home and do not attend the event.

Virtual Participation

In 2020, we showed that we can RACE with EXCELLENCE on a virtual platform with runners and bikers worldwide. We are excited to continue to expand the mission and reach of The Race with virtual participation options in 2023.

Virtual Half Marathon & 5K registration Includes:

  • The Race participant shirt, medallion, commemorative race bib, & patch

  • Access to virtual results reporting

  • Contribution to The Race Charitable Impact Fund

  • Your personal Community Impact Service Day project included in the final total hours

All Virtual participants packets will be mailed to the shipping address provided beginning September 28th. Links to The Race Results Reporting will be available starting October 4th - October 15th HERE.

Impact Event Center has a large parking lot. Overflow parking will be available in neighboring lots and surrounding streets. Carpooling and Ride Share services are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED. Please note it will be very difficult to get dropped off at the venue after 6:15am, therefore please use the following address for Lyft/Uber Drop Off: 2330 Sylvan Rd, East Point, GA 30344

**RACErs who are intending to place in the Overall Categories may start in the 1st wave of their race
***Please note early 5K starts will be disqualified from results. 5K participants MUST NOT start with the Half Marathon.

The Race Half Marathon course is a USATF Certified Course and AJC Peachtree Road Race Qualifier. The Race 5K is not certified.

Water & Aid Stations: 

Limited grab and go hydration stations with bottles of water will be located along the 13.1 course at approximately miles 3.2, 6.7, 8.9, 10.2, & 12. There will be one hydration station along the 5K course approximately at the midway point.

Finish

​

Finish Line Refreshments & Recovery 

Post race recovery will include fruit, bottled water, and chips. Food Vendors will be on site post race for excellent food purchase options.

The Race Foundation Charitable Impact

 

The Race will positively impact & serve the community in the following manner:

  • Service projects will be organized and executed in partnership with local charities and organizations

  • The community will be actively engaged in the course planning and volunteer opportunities.

  • The Race weekend will conclude with a Community Impact Service Day and Wrap Up Party on Sunday, October 6th!

  • The Race will lend its global platform to uplift its Charitable Impact Partners and their missions.

Charitable Impact Fund

 

$5 of EVERY race registration fee will put into a Charitable Impact Fund and given directly to community charities and organizations within the neighborhoods we run through and that support The Race initiative. We welcome RACErs to make additional donations to a Charitable Impact Partner of your choice. Additional donations will go directly to the organization selected.

 

Community Impact Service Day

The Race Weekend does not end when you cross the finish line!!  Sunday, October 6th RACErs are encouraged and empowered to serve the community with hands, feet, and hearts as part of the Community Impact Service Day. Plan your weekend THROUGH Sunday afternoon! Check out the amazing projects we have set up for you and Sign Up for Community Impact Service Day!

We are blessed to have the support of Vibranium Sponsor lululemon to amplify our efforts to build the Service & Impact pillars of The Race.  The first 200 to sign up, show up, and serve on Community Impact Service Day will receive a lululemon accessory item. 

Additionally, all of The Race CISD participants will receive the annual "Service Patch" which is a coveted commemorative item each year for The Race!
